Obstacles always happen to abound between us and our wants!
They are most often clothed as insurmountable problems. In reality, they are opportunities in disguise.
Obstacles should be seen as an opportunity to discover hidden inner strength, creativity, resourcefulness in order to overcome them. As a person, in the process we are transformed into a person more endowed than we initially thought we were.
We can turn obstacles into opportunities by analysing the situation, figuring out what we and others in the same situation need to proceed and take the necessary simple steps to actualise them.
Ryan Holiday in his book "The Obstacle Is The Way" puts it very explicitly :
"Obstacles are an opportunity to express/practice virtue, patience, courage, humility, resourcefulness, reason, justice and creativity ".
In our bid to turn obstacles into opportunities, let's borrow a leaf from the Marines : Adjust, Improvise, and Overcome.
Remember, fortune favours the bold.
Ability Unchained, is an exhibition of products, services and crafts by special challenged people aged between 12 and 30 years.
The first edition of the event was held on 10th April, 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria and 4th August, 2023 in Accra, Ghana respectively.
