Don’t settle for less than what you desire. Magnify your skills!

Succeeding requires more than a dream. If you modify your dreams, it clearly indicates you’re ready to settle for less. It’s your choice, but is it the best choice?

Don’t settle for less and modify your dreams. Magnify your skills to bridge the gap of your present circumstances and to where you want to be (Dream).

It is almost certain that the dream you have of your future is different in a number of ways from the present you. So how are you going to achieve that dream?

By now you should be aware that new skills and skill sets will be required to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. Without the new qualifications or enhanced skill set, it is unlikely that the vision you have for yourself will materialize, otherwise why couldn’t you walk out the door today and into that dream occupation?

Modifying your dream doesn’t necessarily mean you have to completely remove yourself from the proximity of it however. So instead of resigning yourself to your current situation, and strive for the ideal situation, acquiring new skills, growing and making positive strides
along the way.

The major difficulty for many is that they hold on to their original dream but fail to take the training, education, and gain the experience necessary to one day realise their dream.

Looking from the outside in, maybe you and I can see it’s never going to happen unless something changes in the person, but the person fails to see things objectively.

Perhaps fear of the unknown could be the reason for holding on to a dream but doing nothing to bring it. After all, if you actually went and got required the needed skills, you couldn’t use that as an excuse
anymore could you? If you took the time to try to get the skills and failed, you’d have to admit that your dream is over, and some people just want to have a dream to hold onto.

Don’t settle for less than what you want to do with your career. Magnify your skills!

Ability Unchained, is an exhibition of products, services and crafts by special challenged people aged between 12 and 30 years.
The first edition of the event was held on 10th April, 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria and 4th August, 2023 in Accra, Ghana respectively.
