There's more to teaching science than stuffing pupils with facts.
This is because unconnected theories flows like rain right off their backs. We need to help pupils discover nature, stars and waves, and tracks, temperature and other scientific theories in a real life situation. They have to learn to question, to observe, and to explore- to seek the basic causes, to measure, count, and more. So shelve that lecture; it'll bore them to the core. Active pupil engagement is the key to learning's door.
Children need to think like scientists. To sort and sift and to discover in an exciting way. If you fill the classroom with an atmosphere of adventure and creativity, you will soon discover that teaching science to pupils can be an exciting learning experience.
Getting children interested in science at an early age is very important. It's easier than you think. Science does not have to be something mysterious. It is happening all around us, and you can use everyday things to encourage your pupils' interest and knowledge. Most parents and teachers do not realise that all that is needed is a willingness to try, to observe the world,, and to take the time to encourage their natural curiosity.
Each individual teacher has an opinion about what the core purpose of education should be, not only in their own classroom but also in school in general. Many issues occur when differing opinions about the purpose of education collide. It is important to recognize that other people, including many of your co-workers, administrators, and your students' parents might have a different point of view concerning what education should be all about.
